I am a 23-year old physics graduate of Bethel University in Minnesota. The first day of freshman year, my friend Elizabeth gave me the nickname "Thor." It caught on, and many people to this day still refer to me as Thor, even some of my former professors. Some people hate nicknames, I chose to embrace it. Ever since I can remember, I've had an undying love and passion for music, and this blog is where I go to talk about it. I play guitar and sing in the band The Poor and the Prevalent. We just released our debut EP, "Decline and Fall" in 2010 through our label Zerobudget Records. Beyond music, I'm interested in computers, cars, sports, animals (I have two New Caledonian Crested Geckos that are just the cutest pets ever), and a lot of other stuff. Above all else, I acknowledge that God is the Lord of my life and in Him, all things are possible. He is the reason that I am still alive today.Oh 2011. How inviting you are. I gladly say goodbye to 2010 and hope for a much better year this time around.

I hope at the end of 2011 I can replace the question mark with “most exciting/successful/wonderful year of my life.”
